In 2008 one of my childhood friends died of a heroin overdose – the bottom picture is a photo his parents had near their stove for many years and after they posted the image on Facebook I asked if I could retouch it for their family and friends. It was quite a challenge and at times emotionally difficult to work on, but at the same times it gave me an opportunity to reminesce about the memories I had of Darby when we were kids.
