This is a painting I’ve had in the backlog for years. It started as an experiment to do a full painting with the airbrush and as a piece is very inconsistent as my tools, and skill level changed over the course of it’s development.

I used an airbrush for the skull, followed by projecting and tracing the “flower of life” pattern in the negative space. The pattern was hand painted at which point I went over the skull portion with an acrylic paint pen to add fine detail and contrast.

I really enjoyed the process but regret working with a chromatic color scheme.
